Welcome

Minerva Stone Conservation, established in 1992, is expert in the sensitive repair, conservation and stone restoration of old buildings, churches and historic monuments. We are specialist stonemasons and carvers, traditional lime plasterers and stone cleaners (of both limestone, such as Bathstone, and sandstones). We employ only traditional building materials and methods which has given us a particular expertise in the use of lime in areas such as pointing and lime mortar repairs for Bath, Portland and Ham stone.

Our team of stonemasons and conservators has worked on monuments from great cathedrals, churches and grand houses to cob cottages and the remains of our industrial and archaeological heritage. Based in Frome, between the cities of Bath, Wells and Salisbury, we work mainly in Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. If you need any advice, or more practical help with any difficulties you may have with your old house, please contact us. We can offer consultation, project management and skilled hands to solve many problems. For more details of some recent work that we have undertaken please go to our Projects pages.
